This page explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We keep things simple — if anything is unclear, email us at hello@yourdomain.com and we’ll explain.
1. Who we are
LeadIreland (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a small web-design business based in Cork, Ireland. We build landing pages and websites for Irish businesses. We are the data controller for any personal information you give us through this website.
2. What data we collect
We only collect what we need to reply to you and run our site:
- Contact form details — your name, email address, and the message you send us.
- Usage data — anonymous information about how you use the site (pages visited, device type, country) collected via Google Analytics, only if you accept cookies.
We do not collect special-category data (health, political opinions, etc.) and we never buy or sell personal data.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Reply to enquiries you send through the contact form.
- Send a custom website example if you’ve asked for one.
- Understand which parts of our site are useful so we can improve it.
We will never email you marketing without your explicit consent.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
Under EU/Irish GDPR, we rely on these legal bases:
- Consent — for analytics cookies and any optional emails.
- Legitimate interest — for replying to enquiries you send us.
- Contract — when you become a paying client and we need to deliver work.
5. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site. Each one processes some of your data:
- Google Analytics — provides anonymous traffic statistics (page views, country, device). Only loaded after you accept cookies. Google’s privacy policy.
- Formspree — receives and forwards your contact-form submissions to us by email. Formspree’s privacy policy.
Some of these services are based outside the EU. Where that’s the case, they use standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission to protect your data.
6. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries — kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records — kept for 7 years to meet Irish tax / accounting requirements.
- Analytics — anonymised and retained for 14 months by Google Analytics.
7. Data storage and protection
Your data is stored in encrypted form on reputable cloud services (Google Workspace, Formspree). We use strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and only authorised staff can access it. We will notify you and the Data Protection Commission within 72 hours if a breach affects your personal data.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectify — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erase — ask us to delete your data (the “right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict / object — limit how we use your data.
- Portability — get your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, with no penalty.
To exercise any of these, email hello@yourdomain.com. We respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission: dataprotection.ie.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies — see our Cookie Policy for details and how to disable them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, contact you directly.
